After Ava

A NANOWRIMO story (2015) about mental health, learning to love one's self and finding connections. Quinn, or as her father calls her Queenie, is devastated and alone after the love of her life dies. After Ava, Quinn wants to be with her once and for all. Any semblance of the life she had planned out is gone. But then she falls, and miraculously lives, now Quinn has to rebuild her strength and rebuild her life. Can she rebuild herself after jumping from a rooftop and surviving? With the help of new friends, Quinn learns to trust her family, and connect with people. She learns she can save herself and that she doesn't need other people to fulfill her. She could be the love she needed. She could even love herself.
