صدر عن "سلسلة التحول الديمقراطي" في المركز العربي للأبحاث ودراسة السياسات كتاب أحمد إبراهيم أبو شوك الثورة السودانية (2018-2019): مقاربة توثيقية - تحليلية لدوافعها ومراحلها وتحدياتها، الذي حاول المؤلف فيه أن يقدّم مقاربةً توثيقية - تحليلية لثورة "ديسمبر 2018" التي أسقطت الرئيس عمر حسن البشير - وبعض رموز نظام الإنقاذ - الذي حكم السودان نحو ثلاثة عقود منذ عام 1989، وذلك في 11 نيسان/ أبريل 2019، عندما أعلنت اللجنة الأمنية العليا انقلابها على رأس النظام وانحيازها إلى الثورة. يعرض الكتاب، أيضًا، وقائع المفاوضات التي جرت بين القيادة الثورية (قوى إعلان الحرية والتغيير) وقيادة اللجنة الأمنية العليا، الممثلة آنذاك في المجلس العسكري، وكيف أنّ تلك المفاوضات أفضت إلى إنجاز الوثيقة الدستورية التي أضحت تشكِّل المرجعية القانونية لهياكل الحكومة الانتقالية وأولوياتها السياسية، واختصاصاتها التشريعية والتنفيذية والقضائية. وينظر الكتاب، من جهة أخرى، إلى التحديات التي تواجه الفترة الانتقالية (2019-2022)، مقارنةً بتجارب الانتقال الديمقراطي السابقة لها في السودان، وكذلك في ضوء الواقع المعقد سياسيًّا وعسكريًّا، والمهدد بمحاولات بعض القُوى الإقليمية - المتصارعة، والطامعة في فرض نفوذها السياسي عبر بوابة الأزمة الاقتصادية التي يعانيها أهل السودان. The “Democratic Transformation Series” at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies published Ahmed Ibrahim Abu Shouk’s book The Sudanese Revolution (2018-2019): A Documentary-Analytical Approach to Its Motives, Stages, and Challenges, in which the author tried to present a documentary-analytical approach to the “December 2018” revolution, which It overthrew President Omar Hassan al-Bashir - and some symbols of the Salvation regime - which had ruled Sudan for nearly three decades since 1989, on April 11, 2019, when the Supreme Security Committee announced its coup against the head of the regime and its bias towards the revolution. The book also presents the facts of the negotiations that took place between the revolutionary leadership (the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change) and the leadership of the Supreme Security Committee, represented at the time in the Military Council, and how those negotiations led to the completion of the constitutional document that has come to constitute the legal reference for the structures of the transitional government, its political priorities, and its powers.
