Falling in love was never part of the bargain My eighteenth birthday isn't what I expectedinstead of partying with my friends, I find myself in a hospital, battling a cancer that resists every treatment. I feel hopeless and ready to give up when a mysterious, beautiful man offers me a he will take my cancer, relieve my parents of the burden of medical bills and emotional pain, and in return, he will come for me when I turn twenty-five. I accepted, and suddenly, it feels like my life is starting anew. With my new lease on life, I seize the opportunity to make up for lost time. I make friends, adopt stray cats, find a steady job, and search for my Mr. Right. It would be great if Death wasnt hanging around, annoying me, threatening me, and being so damn irresistible and constantly reminding me of my impending doom.
