Priface corrosion-control procedures in design and is not a panacea for all corrosion problems. It is left to the genius of the particular design team, when solving the actual corrosion problem in the ambient circumstances, to develop these ideas and apply them selectively to the good practical purpose of controlling corrosion effectively and economically. The sketches and illustrations in the book are typical examples of particular designs and should not be construed as specific and definitive recommendations.
