Fat Chance

Berkley: I have the job of my dreams, an assistant who brings me my favorite coffee, and an apartment in the city. What more could I want? Certainly not a man. My mom spent my childhood hopping from city to city following one man or another, never thinking about her own dreams—or mine. I worked hard to control my life, and I won’t let anyone ruin it, especially not a defense attorney with a dirty mouth and bedroom eyes.
