In uncertain times, who will survive? The city is burning and panic has set in. Martial law has brought the military onto the streets to maintain law and order, but looting and violence are spreading like wildfire. Through the chaos, Gemma and Alex must try and walk to safety. Surrounded by criminals and desperate people just trying to survive, they will have to fight every inch of the way. But crossing paths with a gunned-up family of psychopaths may be the last mistake they ever make. Mark is doing everything he can to keep the rest of their family safe, but he finds that ordinary neighbours may become their biggest threat. The unprepared are short on supplies, and local thugs will take anything they can. It takes strength and resilience to get through uncertain times, and Mark is prepared for the worst. But with elderly parents and a young son to protect, he will need all his resources, wits and courage to get them through.
