Love Across Borders

Love Across Borders is an anthology of short stories about human relationships across the border, conceived and published by Indireads as a literary and civic initiative. An anthology of twelve short stories, Love Across Borders is a free ebook released for Pakistan and India's Independence Days - August 14th and 15th. The stories comprise tales of unlikely friendship, connection and relationships between Indians and Pakistanis. Sejal and Sanjana are brides-to-be bonding over wedding dresses, while Anjum, Vandanas new neighbor, has arrived in India from Pakistan and settles better in her new environment than the woman whose home it is. From the Subcontinent, we travel to the Middle East, to England and to the States, with characters down on their luck, hapless young men bickering over their differences and best friends from a time gone by. And we travel into the future, a century from now, when neither country exists, and yet peace is still elusive. Two of the stories are collaborative projects between Indian and Pakistani authors, and all of them focus on the possibility that, someday, we can brush aside the lines in the sand, and live together in peace.
