Magical Mayhem

Megan desperately needs a job. When a new blender she was demonstrating at a hotel conference center catches on fire, she is unjustly fired. Megan is faced with the prospect of having to go home to her parentsвЂTM house yet once again and facing their disapproval and their insistence that she work for a relative in a hardware store or get married to some nice boy and have babies! She would have to call her father, a retired police officer, to come for her in the morning. Megan knew she shouldnвЂTMt be drinking in the lounge of the hotel when she was all alone, but she wanted to take the edge off of the upset she was feeling. She noticed a man staring at her and she quickly gave him orders to leave her alone. To her shocked surprise he ordered her to stand up and let him look at her. Megan was ready to ask the bartender for help when the man said, “I want you!” The look on the young womanвЂTMs pretty face told Montague that the girl misunderstood his intentions. “IвЂTMm handling this all wrong,” he explained. “I want to hire you. I am a magician and my assistant found out she is pregnant and quit on me to go home and be with her husband. I need an assistant now.” Megan found herself accepting the job, even though she was shocked when she learned that MontagueвЂTMs method of getting her to concentrate was a damn good spanking! Holly loves everything about Christmas, from Angels and Carols to Yule logs and zany gifts. This year she is working as one of Santa's Helpers at the mall, entertaining young children while waiting in line to have their picture taken with the big guy in the red suit. Then suddenly, her world tilts right off its axis, as a real-life elf pops out of nowhere to punish her for using magic in public! Cane resents his current assignment into the mortal world to discipline the halfling. She must either return to Kringleton with him, or he will have no choice but to bind her powers - which is permanent and not to be taken lightly. However, the halfling doesn't even seem to realize her elvish heritage! And worst of all, she is lovely beyond all compare. He resents his attraction to her. Still, a job is a job and he wasn't appointed headmaster for nothing. He will be thorough in her chastisement, and then he will be done with her! But neither Cane's strict adherence to rules, nor Holly's blitheful ignorance of them, can keep the two apart when fate has destined their future. Of course, a bit of magic never hurts!
