Magic's Touch

Overview: Terri Pray is a stay-at-home wife and mother who is slowly exploring a dream to become a recognized writer. Hailey has watched her friend Karol's marriage disintegrate, wept with her and held her hand. Now bruises have replaced tears, fear replaced shattered hopes, and the good witch can no longer stand idly by. If Karol will not leave her husband, Hailey will have to intervene. But the world has forgotten the good done by people like Hailey. They are second-class citizens, the use of magic proscribed by law, and that's just the threat from those content to let the government take care of things. Others would happily see Hailey and her kin dead. Hailey knows she can save Karol, but if she doesn't want to spend the rest of her life in prison, she can't do it alone. Help comes where Hailey least expects it: the skinny, whiny pest she knew from school who'd delighted in shoving bugs down her dress. Only Darrel's not skinny or whiny anymore. He's far from a schoolyard pest, and what he'd like to do under her dress now is a hell of a lot more appealing than bugs. In fact, Darrel's got a few magic touches of his own hidden beyond his midnight eyes...
