Metal clusters

Emphasis is placed on the theory linking it to the latest experimental results. The jellium model, shown from the study of the electronic properties of NFE (nearly free electron) metals [1] and from the understanding of the electronic properties of free metallic surfaces [2], is applied to the calculation of the electronic properties of metal clusters, mainly to the group Ia (alkaline metals) and to the group Ib metals (noble metals).
