Riley had zero interest in her family's hotel. She'd always worked there in some capacity, but when Riley turned thirty, her father promoted her to manager in an attempt to get her more involved in the day to day running of the hotel. She had so many other interests like singing and surfing and going after beautiful, unavailable older women. Trying to manage a hotel was taking her away from all those things. She'd only been manager for two years, and Riley was more than ready to throw in the towel. Except she couldn't. Not if she wanted to inherit the hotel and, eventually, all of her father's other ventures. The hotel was to be signed over to her on her fortieth birthday. Could Riley even last that long? Liv booked herself into the penthouse suite at a boutique hotel right off Miami Beach for a much needed break. At forty-eight years old, she should be celebrating the fact that she had a starring role in one of the UK's most watched TV series. It wasn't that long ago that Liv thought she'd have to retire from acting. Not because she wanted to, but because there were no decent parts coming her way. Now, she had one. And it had taken off like wildfire. They'd moved right into season two with almost no break, and now Liv was feeling the effects of it. She was going to spend the next two weeks in sunny Florida and relax while she waited to hear about the prospects of a third season. The last thing she expected was to get involved with someone, even if it was just a fling. It wasn't her style. And she wasn't out. Not yet, anyway. But there was something so appealing about spending a few nights with a woman who seemed to have no idea who Liv was.
