The hospital was called Tranquility Place, but Jean Shannon soon learned that this was a misnomer. During her interview with the director, Dr. Clifton Werner, Jean became somewhat unnerved by his urbane yet chilly manner, but she dismissed her queasiness in her desire to be able to work closely with the patients there.
