Running On Empty

Tom Feeney, a tall, dark haired Bostonian of Irish descent, had a comfortable life analysing data for the Government. Now those very people he worked for want him dead. Forced to go on the run with just the clothes on his back, he must quickly adapt to life without any of the possessions he had taken for granted in his thirty year existence. He finds an ally in Sally, a homeless girl who teaches him how to survive on the mean streets using nothing more than guile. But as his pursuers get closer each day, Tom's swiftly running out of time, and he and Sally must come up with a plan for him to escape, with no money or identity. He sets to work on a daring scheme, but should he allow his life to be placed in the hands of Pat, his mysterious Irish Uncle with a past shrouded in violence? In a story spanning eight decades and three continents, Tom Feeney must try and piece together exactly who is trying to kill him and why. He must learn to trust in people he's never met, rely on his instincts, and possibly even learn to love. Only then can he find salvation.
