Wendy Cleary is moving at a mad pace in order to forget. First as an ER doctor in a busy urban hospital then as a volunteer in a combat zone. Wendy is a lesbian who lost her wife and the last thing on her mind is finding love again in Afghanistan. Lily Bailey is embarking on her second tour of duty in Afghanistan. As a medical transport specialist she will be helping move doctors and supplies where they’re needed. The last thing on her mind is romance because she hasn’t had luck with boyfriends in the past. Two compassionate women collide and find what neither was expecting. Wendy and Lily find love in each other although the obstacles to their happiness are many. A friend’s death, a critical injury and a world that isn’t quite ready for their type of love, add up. Can these two fierce women prove that love really does conquer all?
