Dennon Lark is a Scriber, a scholar of the Kingslands forgotten past. But his own past has driven him into self imposed exile in the isolated village of Waymark, and he wants nothing more than to be left in peace. Bryndine Errynson is the Kings niece, a born warrior whoalong with her company of female soldierswants only to protect the Kingsland and its people.
