The Camera Never Lies

The moment he had been worrying about for months had arrived, without him even knowing. Dread began to fill him, and his eyes automatically slid down towards his feet. Baracta knows he is being watched. He has a dark secret and will do anything to protect it, but unlike humans, the camera never lies. Baracta watched the body jerk then convulse without a vestige of feeling, every now and then consulting his watch to time how long it took. After one and a half minutes, by his reckoning it was all over. Another bitch had got her just deserts. Suddenly he felt deathly tired, drained of all feeling. Shutting and locking the door behind him, he stumbled up the stairs, clicked the secret panel back into place and went home o bed, on the whole it had been a successful night
