Abandoned by Carolyn Davidson gets 2 stars. The hero was an utter creep. The poor girl is attacked and left for dead and within minutes of finding her he lays claim to her. Calls her sweetheart and within hours is feeling her up and kissing her. She's got amnesia but is so accepting of everything he's doing - his bossiness.Almost a Bride by Cheryl St. John was better and gets a 3.5. My problems stem from the fact that Jack declares his love out of the blue and basically within a couple of weeks. Short stories really force the love and makes what I'm reading less than realistic. These people don't even know each other - they are complete strangers when they first meet. Jack's son was precious and I liked how Charmaine interacted with him. Still, it's nicely written and wished it were longer.His Brother's Wife by Jenna Kernan was a 4. This is a new author for me and I enjoyed her style, the characters and their interaction. But again the love is rushed and so much happens within such a short time span that the romance falls a little flat. I really wanted this story to last and will be looking for more by this author.
